The three times World Champion is back
It looks like Peter Sagan enjoyed the day with me last year and he came back to the Langhe with his wife and a couple friends this year. On Saturday 8th October 2017, Peter Sagan, recent winner of the UCI Road World Championship for the third time in a row two weeks earlier in Bergen (Norway), came back to Piemonte for a relaxing day of great food and wine.
After a private lunch in the Barbaresco area, in order to avoid the crowd of people that come to the Langhe during October and November for the International Truffle Fair, we headed to the Barolo area for a private winery visit and tasting. A quick tour in Alba at my trustworthy White Truffle seller and then dinner in the Barolo area to end the day in the best way.
What can I say about this day with Peter Sagan? Well, once again, it was awesome, probably even better than the previous year because we both know each other already so for me it was much easier to handle the emotion of having my idol in front of me. I felt and still feel incredibly lucky to have met Peter Sagan again, because he is a very easy going and humble guy, just like a normal person and that is why every time I see him I become a bigger and bigger fan of him.
