WELCOME TO AVID CYCLISTS FROM DAVIDE PASQUERO

I was born in Italy, the land of cycling, in the same region of Fausto Coppi, the leading international cyclist of the years each side of the Second World War. Considered one of the greatest and most popular cyclists ever, his nickname was “Campionissimo”, title earned thanks to his numerous successes that has made him an icon of the Italian sport history.

I was not born at that time but I fell in love with road cycling at the end of the ‘90s and for sure, the first epic victories of Marco Pantani, another of the best and most acclaimed Italian professional cyclists ever, were amongst the main reasons that fascinated me about this tough but special sport.

THE STORY OF MY PASSIONS: CYCLING, FINE WINES & GOURMET FOOD

I have been an avid cyclist since the end of the ‘90s and I used to participate in a few Gran Fondo every year but then I have turned my attention to some of the most famous cycling events in Italy and Europe. Being a very passionate cyclist, and working in the wine business, I have had the possibility to cycle in different regions of Italy as well as in Spain and France, which let me discover other stunning destinations for cycling enthusiasts, foodies and fine wine lovers: this is when my idea of sharing my bike adventures in the most beautiful locations and allow others to enjoy all that through unique cycling experiences became clear.

In addition to that, my extensive work experience all over the world in the wine business in some of the most famous wine areas, along with a very strong background in wine (Degree in Viticulture and Enology as well as a Sommelier certificate), has generated my deep passion for the finest food and wines, together with any of the best “made in Italy” items and products. Being born, raised and living in Piedmont, one of the greatest and most prestigious regions of Italy in terms of gourmet cuisine and fine wines, I could not have a different taste.

Nowadays, I personally enjoy medium to long bike rides with friends and clients, sometimes tough ones, some other times easier ones and my motto is “meno agonismo, più agriturismo” because in the end it’s not important how fast you ride, the key is to push your body to that amount of effort that makes you feel so great… and then joke around with your cycling mates, tease them, enjoy a coffee stop or a memorable meal… if you are a cyclist enthusiast, you know exactly what I am talking about…

GREAT RIDES, TOP WINES & FOOD

Having worked and collaborated with some top bike tour companies, I have got experience and a deeper insight of what organize a cycling adventure means. All that has allowed me to come up with the idea of offering my own distinctive bike travels and pick up the best from my previous experiences.

My approach and vision is very simple: put together my cycling experience with my strong background and passion for fine wines & gourmet food with the aim to offer unique and exclusive bike experiences.

Therefore, for any cycling adventure I always look amongst the best possibilities that a location can offer in terms of itineraries. Same approach when it comes to fine wines and food:  from fine dining experiences (like a Michelin star restaurant) to more casual ones (informal restaurant/osteria) or from the most prestigious wines to less famous ones, I always allow you to eat, taste, drink and enjoy the best possible.

I just love the idea of sharing the beauty of my country with clients while we are on the bike and I love seeing their smiling faces, their satisfaction and happiness when they get to the top of a climb or after a memorable day on the bike or simply because they ride faster than the year before. I love all that as much as enjoying a relaxing moment with friends and clients after the ride or sharing a fantastic dinner and amazing wines with them at the end of the day, because it’s not just all about the bike, it’s also about where you ride it and what you do afterwards!

If the Giro d’Italia was proclaimed the “toughest race in the world's most beautiful country", there should be a reason… Get ready for an adventure, I will catch and see you on the road!
