Piedmont is one of the most prestigious wine regions of Italy and can definitely be considered a wine pedigree area where some of the finest Italian wines are produced. The region is also a foodie haven thanks to its White Truffle, homemade pasta, high quality veal, cheese and hazelnut, just to name a few.

We organize private and bespoke wine & foodie experiences in Piedmont and we are mostly focused on Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero areas. Davide Pasquero, Terroir Selection’s owner and founder, was born and raised in the heart of the Langhe area so, being a local, he has a deep knowledge of the wines as well as of the best and most unique foodie experiences you can enjoy in Piedmont.

The concept of the open cellar door as most of the wine lovers know in other wine regions or in New World wine countries only exists in the “wine-factory” type producers in Italy. Personal, pre-arranged tasting appointments are required to have access and taste at quality wineries as well as for the foodie experiences.

Our private one-day or multiple day tours are designed and customized according to your request and wishes: they can be guided or not guided but our aim is always to create unique and high-end experiences for our clients, something that they would not be able to do on their own.

Normally, a tour day start at 9 - 9.30 am and finish at 5 - 5.30 pm.

Educational Barolo & Barbaresco wine tours

Davide’s solid Viticulture & Enology background along with his extensive experience in the wine production all over the world for several years and the fact he is also a Sommelier are aspects that make him one of the most expert, professional, credible and qualified people when it comes to fine Barolo and Barbaresco wines.

Private Wine Tasting

Relish a private wine tasting experience with Davide Pasquero, Terroir Selection’s founder and owner, or with other local wine experts. Thanks to Davide’s winemaking and sommelier background you can enjoy a unique experience and discover the different wines of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas as well as their “secrets”.

The wine tasting can be held all year round according to availability (dates and time) in unique locations, wineries or distinctive restaurants. In this latter case wines are or can be paired with a real meal. Every tasting must be booked in advance.

Truffle hunting

Enjoy the magic experience of the hunt in the woods with a very experienced and charismatic “trifolau” (truffle hunter) and his trusty dog, followed by the delight of savoring the truffle with a memorable aperitif. This is a very educative experience and allows learning all you need to know about the local White Truffle, which is the most precious local products. For the White Truffle, the best time for this experience is from October to December. The Black Truffle can be found nearly all year around.

Hazelnut experience

Discover one of the most important products of Piedmont thanks to a unique experience in a small hazelnut farm and find out why the local hazelnut is universally recognized as the best one in the world and its several usages in the local cuisine.

Cheese experience

A visit in a small, local and authentic cheese maker farm where you can taste different kinds of cheese through a simple tasting or a light lunch and discover the production process. Available from April to October, sheep and/or goat cheeses.

Cooking class

Experience an amazing cooking class with one of the best chefs of the Langhe area, learn about the local cuisine and discover his secrets to make memorable and authentic dishes. It is followed by a lunch with the dishes you have prepared.
