Educational Barolo & Barbaresco wine tours

Davide’s solid Viticulture & Enology background along with his extensive experience in the wine production all over the world for several years and the fact he is also a Sommelier are aspects that make him one of the most expert, professional, credible and qualified people when it comes to fine Barolo and Barbaresco wines.

He also tastes thousand of wines every year and besides knowing personally several of the top wine producers, Davide can explain every step of the wine business from vine growing to bottling, including commercial and trade aspects too. This is why our tailor made guided wine experiences have a different approach and philosophy than most of any others and we design them through simple and clear values:

  1. Educational experiences, as they are not just wine tours concerning visits wineries and tasting wines.
  2. Davide is an incredible value on a guided tour for those wine enthusiasts who wish to have a deep understanding and be educated or improve the knowledge about the finest wines of Piedmont; the complexity of the different wine areas from several points of view (vineyard and winemaking philosophy, approach and practices, figures and economic data, etc.) and the fact the local wines are not easy to understand make Davide a remarkable added value on a guided tour.
  3. Small groups of 2-8 people (in order to have the best possible experience) who really want to have a deep insight of Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
  4. Luxury chauffeur services with licensed drivers (Mercedes car or 8 seats van): in order to meet our high standard we ONLY work with professional, trustworthy and the best local partners.
  5. Our selection of wineries to visit (2-3 per day maximum) is based on your familiarity and knowledge of Barolo and Barbaresco wine regions in order to provide the most suitable and the best possible experience. It is also made according to the type of experience you look for (contact us for further information about the different possibilities) and the selection can span from the most acclaimed to “hidden gem” wineries.
  6. Our selection of restaurants for lunch and/or dinner also depends on what kind of experience you look for. However, whether it is about a fine dining experience (like a Michelin star restaurant) or a more casual one (informal restaurant/osteria), we always and only consider the best possibilities that come from our scouting, which is the only way we use to asses the quality and consistency of a restaurant. Both options of fixed and “à la carte” menu are possible.

These are our principles but we also keep an open-minded approach in order to come as close as possible to your wishes. If you have any specific request or need (particular wineries or restaurant you have heard about and want to go, guided or not guided tours, self drive tours, etc.), feel free to let us know and we figure out the best solution for you.
